New Year’s Resolution, 2006.

OK – I have a number of personal resolutions that aren’t for sharing (and aren’t interesting anyway).

I also have one big, important one.  One that will make my friends fall about the place laughing.  Well, it’s not funny!  And I’m going to try very very very very hard to be better. I won’t say that I’ll be good, I don’t have it in me to be good, but I do have it in me to be better, I know I do!

In 2006 I resolve to be less judgemental of others.

No, really.

I really am going to try.  And the kick in the pants is, I’m having trouble even writing this entry without providing links to examples of people that I like to judge. But I’m not going to do it.

I feel that being judgemental falls into two categories.  Moral and social.  Moral is the really bad one.  That’s the one that you’re totally not supposed to do.  It’s also less frequent and easier to control.  Social – that’s a whole other kettle of fish. I am a tidal-wave of social judgement.  Clothes, shoes, manners, education, taste – all very bad topics for me.

Phrases I will try to use less frequently this year:

  1. White trash
  2. Tornado bait
  3. Fashion victim
  4. Anything that ends with “..like a hooker.”
  5. Take your &%*$ing hat off when you’re indoors you $%^&ing redneck.
  6. Redneck
  7. Illiterate boob
  8. Pseudo-intellectual

Wish me luck, because I’m really going to need it.
